Patti was recently honored to be one of a handful of Baker dealers from the U.S. to be invited to Paris, France for an evening event at the Palace of Versailles. Baker Furniture along with Pierre Frye hosted the exhibition “When Versailles was Furnished in Silver”. The six week exhibition held early this year, brought together objects and major works from all over Europe to evoke Louis XIV’s silver furniture. Renowned Paris designer, Jacques Garcia, who does collections for Baker Furniture was brought in as the artistic director to recreate the silver furnishings that once decorated the court of Louis XIV. The exhibit was held in the State Apartments (which is usually closed to the public) and the Hall of Mirrors. The evening gala was held on January 26th and hosted approximately 700 guests from around the world. It was truly a magical evening, to be driven up to the palace at night for a private affair was a once in a lifetime experience that Patti will cherish forever.
